Privacy Policy
Abroad is run by Mr Hudson, Inc., a Delaware corporation with its place of business in Brooklyn, New York. This policy covers abroad.mrhudsonexplores.com, the Abroad Dossier intake, and our newsletters. Questions and requests: abroad@mrhudsonexplores.com.
What we collect, and why.
If you subscribe to the briefing: your email address and your subscription preferences, used to send you what you signed up for and nothing else.
If you commission a Dossier: the information you provide in the intake — identity and contact details, and the household, citizenship, employment, financial-range and preference details the research needs. Every question in the intake exists because it changes something in your report; nothing is asked out of curiosity.
Sensitive information — the part we take most seriously. Some intake sections invite information such as sexual orientation, gender identity, or health-relevant needs (for example HIV prevention or gender-affirming care). These sections are optional, collected only with your explicit consent, used only to research and write your report, and never shared with anyone — not with partners, not with the professionals we may name in your report, not with anyone else. They are never used for marketing. You can ask us to delete them at any time, independently of the rest of your data.
Payment.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store them.
Who processes data on our behalf.
We use a small set of service providers to run Abroad: Typeform (intake forms), Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (hosting and report delivery), GitHub (private, access-controlled storage of intake and report files), HubSpot (client records), Ghost (this site and our newsletters), and Google Workspace (email). Each processes data only on our instructions and under its own security and data-processing commitments. Some providers process data outside your country of residence, under contractual safeguards.
What we never do.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it for advertising. We do not run third-party advertising or tracking on this site.
How long we keep things.
Intake data and your report are retained through the twelve-month update window and for up to twenty-four months afterward, then deleted on a rolling schedule. Sensitive fields are deleted earlier on request. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. We may retain minimal transaction records where the law requires it.
Your rights.
Wherever you live, we honor the same set of rights: ask us what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, receive a copy of it, or withdraw a consent you gave. Email abroad@mrhudsonexplores.com and we will act on it promptly. If your local law gives you additional rights, you have those too.
Changes.
If this policy changes materially, we will note it here and, for Dossier clients within their update window, tell you directly.
